Last Minute Trip!

I got home from a very long month of traveling. Being home only 20% of the month I was ready for a break. I had travelled all over California these last few weeks and I get a call from Dave saying we have something planned for this weekend so be ready. I thought it would just be a great relaxing weekend at home. Little did I know we weren't staying home this weekend. At the very last minute we decided to go to Zion's National Park in Utah. Yes you saw that right we were in southern Utah this weekend. We really needed a weekend out with just our little family. It gave Dave and I a chance to chat and the girls got a fun time with both Mom and Dad with NO work! We took some great pictures.
We stayed in St. George, Utah on Saturday night. We stopped by to visit the Temple in St. George. It was so beautiful.
We got some great pictures of Zion's National Park.
A picture of Dave and the girls standing on the slick-rock. It isn't really slick until it gets wet. So needless to say it was really easy to walk on.
This hill was really neat. It was white on the top portion and the bottom is red. It looks like someone put a white rock on top of a red rock. The picture just doesn't do it justice. We had a great time as a family.

4 Wheel Drive Trip to Big Bear, CA

This picture is one that Kim took on our last 4 wheel drive trip to Big Bear. Hadley is usually scared of us airing down the tires. (Letting the air out of your tires, yes on purpose!)
This is Hadley just being really cute. Kim took this picture!
We took some great pictures of the Jeep. We found a couple out on the trail that wanted to follow along. We ended up having a great time.

Fun Pictures of the Girls

Kim loves to take pictures of things around the house and when we go out off roading. She is actually really good at it. Instead of grounding her from toys we ground her from the camera. Here are some pictures. This is just a really cute picture of Kim.

We took some great pictures up in Vancouver when we were up there as well. These are the girls' glasses from Grammy & Auntie Heather.
The girls played with Grammie in a field with our cousin Norah and Auntie Heather. The girls had so much fun.

I know it is a fuzy picture but it does show my new hair style (cut and color).

Dave's Birthday

Well I am finally going to blog again. We took some great pictures of Dave's birthday. Dave is telling Hadley not to blow out his candles. She kept trying so they finally blew them out together.
As a tradition in our family we always lick the frosting off the candles. Kim and Hadley had a great time doing that.
Dave's favorite gift for any occasion is socks. He loves the smell!
Then he convenience Hadley to smell them as well. What I didn't get was the picture of Hadley's face after she smelled the socks. She looked at Dave really confused as to why she was smelling socks!?!His next favorite thing to get is dishes. Yes, Dishes! He asks me monthly if he can purchase a new set of dishes. So I bought him new dishes and then at his birthday party he got another set from Robert, Mindy, Lecia and Walter.

Hadley's Birthday... Yes more

Hadley had a great time opening her gifts.

I was helping her open a gift from Uncle Rbert and Aunt Mindy. She can't wait to see inside.

Inside was a set of large legos which both girls love. We built everything you see here.

Hadley's Birthday Continued

Here is a picture of Hadley's cake. I tried something this year that didn't work as well as I had wanted it to. So it isn't the greatest cake but Hadley sure loved it.

Hadley's Birthday

Hadley's birthday was last weekend and we had a great time celebrating it. On Friday March 2, 2007 Hadley turned 3. She asked for Bacon, Eggs and Sticky Buns for breakfast so that is what we made. We were having a little party for her on Sunday so we didn't make 2 cakes. We just figured the sticky buns were sweet enough we could put a candle in it. So here she is blowing out the candle.

She had asked for Peter Pan the movie for her birthday. At the Disney Store you can preorder movies and they often times come with lithographs (pictures from the actual movie). Since the girl’s room is decorated in Tinker Bell we thought it would be very appropriate to hang them in her room.

Hadley got a princess castle with several of the Disney Princess Dolls. She and Kim love it so much. They play with it all of the time.

Nana came down for Hadley's birthday and she gave Hadley a tea set. Kim got one for Christmas and Hadley has been so jealous of it. Now that Hadley has her own, Kim is very jealous because Hadley has more pieces to her tea set than Kim. But they play tea together all of time. They are always bringing Dave and me things to eat and drink. They take our order just like a waitress and then they bring us our (pretend) food.
